The story
At 67 square metres, with 130 figures, the painting is one of the largest oils in the Louvre. The four musicians at the foreground table are recognisable portraits of contemporary Venetian painters: Veronese at the viola da gamba in white, Tintoretto on a smaller viol, Titian on the double bass in red, and Jacopo Bassano on the cornetto. The painters of Venice are physically in attendance at the wedding of Cana. Now at Musée du Louvre, Paris @museelouvre
